The specialplex is on its way to be printed. I hope I would get best results and everything will work fine. I will then have to check if the backlit LCARS graphic is obervable when the backlit is on. I will tell you if this works as aspekted and I post afterwards some pictures.

The specialplex now is available. It takes a  lot  of time but now I have it. The smoked plex will be printed in the next week. The LCARS displays are then available in 14 days. Please send me an email if you want to have a display. This special LCARS displays are limited and in all details like the originals from the series (I used the same plex, the same thickness and the same assembly  the used in the original Star Trek series). Because the displays are limited the price for one piece is 135 US Dollar. I will post some pictures in the next few weeks. The displays are therefore more cheaper that the original screen used LCARS PROP panels. These ones cost 349 US Dollar and are much more smaller in dimensions as you could see here:

The special displays are completely black if backlit is off. The LCARS graphic only appears when the display is illuminated (please take a look on this ebay link – here is an original LCARS display)

On the left picture you could see the original screen used LCARS panel (with illumination) – on the right site you could see the display with backlit illumination off.

I want to make the following display (please look below) like the same with the smoked plex I ordered:

this display is for now only available in this version (seen above). You could see the LCARS graphics with und without backlit illumination. Quite soon I hope that it is like this one you could see above (the originals they used in the series). For now I do not know how the print looks like on the special plex. I hope I would get the same effect but it is not tested yet…

Shortly ago I designed the official shopbanner. It looks like as you see it in this post. If I have good luck someone uses this banner on his own homepage. Please give me some feedback. I would be very pleased.

Quite soon it will be possible to design LCARS displays just like the originals. Without illumination they are completely black, just like the original displays. This means that you would only see the backlit LCARS graphics when the display is illuminated. I use the original special plexi that they used in the series. So now it is possible, for the first time, to sell displays assembled just like the original displays. These displays are then perfect! Before this process it was only possible to generate displays where you see the graphics all the time (backlit or not).

For now I have ordered 20 acrylic plexi plates which have the correct dimensions to mount these small Voyager panels (the ones you can see in “Buy”). I will get these quite soon from the US.

The searching has ended. In nearly future it would be possible to assembly LCARS displays which are 1:1 like the original because I ordered the original Voyager LCARS blueprints. I will get them in the next three weeks from the US. Then I will have exactly informations about the special plex, the thickness and assembly of the panels.
